Solid Sterling Silver and Gold can be cleaned using a silver or gold polishing cloths. Otherwise, a mixture of hot water, cloudy ammonia and detergent works well, with a very gentle cloth (an old tea towel works well).

Gold or Silver Plated pieces should be cleaned very gently with a polishing cloth, or warm soapy water and a gentle cloth. Over time, plating will wear off so take care to use a light touch.

Pieces which are Oxidised (‘blackened’) are intentionally created that way. Blackening will rub off over time – take care not to over polish blackened areas.
