In December 2018, I took part in a Business Chicks Leadership Gathering on Necker Island, part of the British Virgin Islands. One of our sessions was spent hearing of the challenges facing local domestic violence survivors.
We committed to supporting the community through fulfilling their greatest need – funding a shelter to provide refuge to those escaping domestic violence.
On the lengthy trip back to Melbourne, I thought long and hard about how I could contribute. And it was there and then (in Texas to be precise!), that I designed The Pineapples.
The Pineapples is a range of jewelry created to raise funds for this amazing community; $50 AUD from every piece sold will fund the build of this shelter.
The organisation that creates positive change for this community, is called The Family Support Network. Located in the British Virgin Islands, they work with individuals, couples and families affected by domestic violence.
The hero piece of the range is The Pineapple Earrings, in 18k Gold Plate, and Sterling Silver. Recently joined the collection is The Petite Pineapple Bracelet, and the third and final piece is The Pineapple Pendant - a necklace.
As always, all pieces are handcrafted here in Melbourne by myself and our awesome team.
